As a B2B company, how do you put your brand and products in the spotlight, and how do you interact with customers when physical sales contacts cannot be held? Guided by us, this question led the Atlas Copco Rental Department in Europe to the idea of hosting up a virtual fair, set up in a fitting 3D environment.
To inform customers and prospects worldwide about the newest Atlas Copco products and innovations and to interact with them without a being able to invite them to a physical event.
Vintage developed a virtual event platform. Originally, the platform was intended for a 1-day fair that was built around the theme “power to choose”. Visitors could “walk around” in a virtual event hall, explore Rental’s most recent products and technologies, watch informative videos in the seminar room, and attend interesting sessions in the breakout rooms. The event contained a wall of fame and a “coffee corner” where visitors could directly communicate with Atlas Copco’s marketing and sales teams. The platform and all of its information remained available online after the event date.
It started with the “power to choose” virtual event for Atlas Copco Rental Europe in November 2020, and due to its success and visitor’s positive reactions, the event was repeated for the Middle East, India and the US in 2021. The same platform was also used by Atlas Copco’s Power Technique Service division for a virtual fair to launch FleetLink, their newest connectivity solution for portable air equipment. Each time the 3D environment and its data were reused and re-customised to target a specific audience, improving cost efficiency.
