Gone are the days of walking around trade shows with a bag full of catalogues. Paper brochures are increasingly being replaced by digital versions, and not just because of the Covid pandemic. Digital brochures offer a more immersive experience and tailored information for users. And as a company, you can easily update these brochures yourself, and distribute them quickly.
When physical trade shows were cancelled and showrooms were closed during the Covid pandemic, digital brochures were the only lifeline for businesses to promote their products and services. But now, five years later, this brochure type has become even more successful. “It’s no longer out of necessity but many companies now truly see the benefits of online brochures,” says Claudia Voss, CEO of Vintage Productions. “With a client base primarily in the B2B sector, we witness the growing demand for digital brochures on a daily basis.”
Cost-efficient
Compared to printed brochures, digital versions are easier to update and can reach a broader audience more quickly. Cost efficiency and speed are major advantages for businesses, as they eliminate the costs and time associated with printing and distribution. But the sales process itself has also evolved, with digital brochures now playing a key role.
“We’ve all developed the reflex to research things online,” Voss explains. “When they’re ready to make a purchase, customers are already well-informed. The days of handing out a brochure during a sales meeting are long gone. Companies now need to make product information available earlier in the process and 24/7. The data must be up to date and available in the user’s language. Digital communication makes that perfectly possible.”
3D experiences
The content and the creation process of digital brochures differ from those of printed versions. Digital brochures can include 3D animations and videos, offering users a richer experience. And even with interactive features, marketers can still build these brochures themselves. “We’ve developed our own tool for this. We call it our Digital Tool Creator or DTC,” Voss says. “It goes far beyond simply letting users click from one page to another. With our tool, you can create fully interactive brochures without needing to be a tech expert.”
Mobile-friendly
Another advantage of digital brochures is the ability to tailor content to each user. “For instance, you can let customers choose which applications interest them and ask which market they operate in,” Voss explains. “By adapting the brochure accordingly, they can quickly and easily find the information that matters most to them. And all the content is perfectly viewable on a smartphone. This is how companies truly set themselves apart.”
